Are Eva Simons and Sabi the Same Musician?

A couple of years ago, the world got introduced to Eva Simons with her hit debut single, “Silly Boy.” Remember? We all thought it was Rihanna’s comeback single after the whole Chris Brown debacle? Even still, the song held up once we discovered it was by a fresh set of pipes and I got excited about this promising new popstar. After such a buzz, it seemed natural that she would rush a second single, drop an album and maybe continue riding a wave of success but that didn’t happen. Eva disappeared! Sure, she popped up as a guest vocalist but none of it was interesting whatsoever.

During that time, Sabi made her splashy debut on Britney Spears’ “Beautiful (Drop Dead)” which is fairly solid. The first time I heard “Wild Heart” was in a commercial for one of those damned Kardashian TV shows and thought “Eva’s back? Oh, hell yes!” I was wrong. It was Sabi the rapper! As a vocalist! The song came out, in Pop music standards, about two years ago but she’s just released its music video.
So we have Sabi now but I got thrown for a loop recently because Eva is back with that ridiculous mohawk and new single, “I Don’t Like You.” I thought this would have been the perfect follow up to Sabi’s “Wild Heart,” right? Take a listen.
Of course, there is room for two but since I’m finding it hard to keep these chicas separate, I have decided to just mash them together with Livvi Franc and Cassie to make the next great girl group dually managed by P. Diddy and Robin Antin. Admit it. Puff and Robin know how to make a good girl group. Don’t believe me? Let’s look at their track record:
Puff: Dream and Danity Kane
Robin: Pussycat Dolls, Girlicious and Paradiso Girls

So much good music in between those five acts! In regards to the new chicks, you’d have to agree that Eva, Sabi, Cassie and Livvi together would produce some of the sexiest visuals since the Pussycat Dolls in their prime.

Tweet me (@calvinshow) what you think about Eva Simons and Sabi! Do you think they sound similar? When will they admit it? Will Puff and Robin ever realize the potential gold mine that’s pop-lock-and-dropping it right in front of them?
