Balmain has not skipped a beat since bringing Olivier Rousteing on board back in 2009. The young designer has delivered an exceptional Spring/Summer 2013 collection that comes complete with the usual dirty, ultra cool, biker-chic elements.
In this collection, the color palette was desaturated allowing each garment's actual design and fit take control. The footwear was 100% shoe porn and I'd gladly do all sorts of bad things to get my Size 9 feet in a pair. Abusive prices aside, this is probably one of the most stellar offerings Rousteing has shown us thus far. Each look relatively simple but comprised of devastatingly covetable pieces. That, in my opinion, is the signs of a great collection and designer.
