Build Your Playlist | The Fourth of July Edition

It's the Fourth of July and as you read this, I'm probably in Central Park with some friends or on my way to the Brooklyn Bridge Park to meet up with some others! One thing you also need to know is that I'll be listening to some really fun music as well. While I enjoy the indie, the quirky, the under-the-radar type of artists, I also enjoy those super mainstream fools as well. Why? Because it's all so damn catchy!
What makes a track catchy? If you find yourself hearing it on the radio, saying out loud "God, I hate this song" and then realize it's been stuck in your head days after that one listen. Now, as I was compiling this list, I discovered that it had been dominated by a fresh bunch of PYTs. While there is never a lack of divas in training trying to get their faces on MTV, they always need to be led by their current queen and that queen just happens to be Beyonce.
Don't start throwing shade. The decision to crown her was not up to me. The public, you, made her who she is. But even Beyonce has to pay respect to those who came before her which is precisely why the final musician in Build Your Playlist's "Fourth of July Edition" is quite possibly queen to them all. And smack dab in the middle is a little slice of sex. Song 4. Just you wait. Fuh. Real.
Beyonce – End of Time
Rita Ora – How We Do (Party)
P!nk – Blow Me (One Last Kiss)
Slow Magic – Corvette Cassette
Lianna Le Havas – Lost & Found (Slime Re-edit)
Stooshe – Black Heart (Show n Prove Remix)
Whitney Houston – So Emotional
